Hi Audiomonk,
We won’t have any functionality to hide the directory page.I do see the redirect and I am hoping that you are either using a plugin or code to put restrictions for not logged in users on the site(Limit access to site) and that is causing it.
If you are using anything like that, Please make sure gallery page is excluded to make it visible for non logged users.
Hope that helps.

Hi Zaheer,
Welcome to BuddyDev.The problem is you have ‘public’ status disabled.
At the moment, The wall gallery(activity wall gallery) can only be public. Please enable public and it will work.
I will enable status selection box for the wall gallery in next 2 updates.
Please let me know if it works for you or not?
PS:- If you do not want the public, It will need a line change but we can have other status working for the activity gallery.
Thank you
Brajesh Hi Sujee,
Can you please provide me access to the site having trouble. I can look into it and may find the issue easily. As of searching, you will need to search for the string “BP_DEFAULT_COMPONENT” in the wp-content directory(search should look inside the files) to find and locate it.
Regards

Hi Trolinfo,
I have cleaned up the Simple Front end post plugin today. It was in a state of mess. I will implement the post status feature in the plugin by Tuesday.I am sorry to keep you waiting but the BP Simple Front end plugin was in dire need of cleanup before I could add anything to it. Since the cleanup is done, It will be easy now.

Brajesh Hi Sujee,
I have tested it again today and I can confirm that it works with BuddyPress 3.1Possible reasons why it may not be working for you:-
1. Do you have BP Nouveau theme active and the User Home enabled? BuddyOress 3.0/3.1 won’t allow custom landing page in this case. BuddyPress 3.2 will(It is fixed in BuddyPress trunk). To solve it, Please visit Appearance->Customize->BP Nouveau->User Front page and disable it.
2. If the above is not the case then the only other reason is either a plugin or theme is defining ‘BP_DEFAULT_COMPONENT’.
Can you please check and let me know if any of the above is the issue.
Regards

Hi Tyler,
I am not sure what will work in this case.Try deactivating and reactivating BuddyPress and then saving BuddyPress settings
If that does not work, you may have to delete BuddyPress specific settings for that blog’s options table and the deactivate/activate again.
Best regards
Brajesh
