I found “Groups” this time and translated to “Districts” and saved the file which generated “buddypress-en_US.mo”. I uploaded it via FTP to community.pointlomatowncouncil.org > wp-content > languages > plugins > directory.
But still no change to Group label in right sidebar or profile image dropdown. Perhaps I’m saving the .mo file in the wrong folder?
Okay done, and so close! Left sidebar now says “Districts”, but right sidebar and profile image dropdown still say “Groups”. I guess I didn’t find the correct source to edit because I did edit 3 sources. will you show me again the source names for those instances. I’m so sorry!
my wp-content folder does not contain a folder called “languages”.

Dashboard->Settings->BuddyPress > Pages tab > Activity Streams = Activity
I think I already have the activities page enable. What I want is the following:
When a user logs in, currently they are re-directed to the homepage. Instead of going back to the homepage I want the activity page to open. How? Thanks!
I’m running BuddyPress 2.9.3, so if I don’t have a valid pot file, what is my next step please?
I’m working through your solution, but have a quick question please. I can’t tell the difference between our items #2 and #3. They both look to me to be the same instance of the label “Group”, namely the menu you see when you hover over the user’s profile image. Where is the Group label for our item #3?
you know, you are right. I will need to rename all 3 of those to be consistent. yes please how to rename them all, which I guess you’re saying will only be 2 and 3.
