I feel really stupid here, but I can not seem to understand what groups has to do with the blog plugin and its categories. What I want to achieve is to manage what categories users can pick when adding a post, and how I can hide certain categries used for me as an admin.
Is the groups connected to the blog?

I am sorry but I still do not understand what you mean by group? DO you mean in my profile at the frontend? In the Groups tab?
