Hi Brajesh, thanks for this, I can see your activated account. So I checked with my theme, and it still works, and again with BuddyForms… so i need to continue to activate plugins 1 by 1 to find the culprit.

    Kind regards,
    Iain

    Hi Brajesh,
    Thanks for coming back.

I’ve tried deactivating all plugins apart from Buddypress itself and the Auto Activate plugin and still the registration process fails. I’ve even used default WP theme and same result. I’m really at a loss as to know what is causing behaviour. There is nothing in bp-custom.php i even deleted the file. When i deactivate all plugins apart from the 2 mentioned above the registration process doesn’t even complete, how can that be?

    Kind regards,
    Iain

    Hi Brajesh,
I see your test account, it shows in manage signups, where were you directed to?

I’ve just done a test and I still get directed to mystaging01/register/profile/edit/group/ which leads to 404 error.

    Regards,
    Iain

    Hi Brajesh,

I deactivated iThemes and the submit button is working. My client needs specific questions on the register page so it’s difficult to cut that down. However the form should still submit and the account be auto-activated and direct to profile?

    Many thanks,
    Iain

    Hi Brajesh,
Did you see my private reply with access details to my staging site?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Brajesh,

By way of an attempted workaround I purchased your BP Auto Activate Auto Login plugin, and still I do not get redirected to the correct place. The new user account has not auto activated, it sits there in “manage signups”, i thought this plugin is meant to activate the account and login, and direct to the user’s profile? All i get is redirection to “registration/profile/edit/group” with a 404 error.

I’m at a loss as to what to do?

    Hi Brajesh,
I’ve not located the issue yet, and I’m not even getting the default message from BuddyPress about checking email for activation link. Is there a way to reset the entire BuddyPress installation, because it seems something is maybe corrupted?

    Many thanks as always,
    Iain

Hi Brajesh, i’m assuming no other buddydev plugins would conflict? – I have a number of them.

I will disable other plugins one by one, this is very frustrating

    Regards,
    Iain

    Hi Brajesh,

Thanks for coming back on this. I created a bp-custom.php file and added the code, with the correct slug, and i still get redirected to “registration/profile/edit/group” and with a 404 error. I don’t even know what this page is that it defaults to.
    Am i doing anything wrong?

    Regards,
    Iain
