    Hi Brajesh,

I’m not sure if this is related to User Profile Tabs plugin, but when a user searches for another user (I use BP Profile Search) the other member’s profile is able to be edited – is there a way to restrict a profile edit to the owner only? Or am I only seeing this behaviour because I’m logged in as Admin?

BTW is BP Profile Search the best profile search tool to use?

    Kind regards,
    Iain

Iain Claydon on in reply to: [Resolved] MediaPress Gallery cover image #49553

    Hi Brajesh,

Thanks for that – is there a way to change the system default image though?

1 further question if I may:

Is it possible for a visitor to add to a gallery? At the moment a user can only view, but can I change it so that a visitor (not logged-in) can contribute to / add a gallery? I’m not sure if I want this yet, but just in case… I can’t see any settings in profile edit that link to MediaPress settings.

    Cheers,
    Iain

    Hi Brajesh,

That link is perfect for when someone is logged in, but if someone views that profile as a guest, i.e. not logged in, it prompts that person to login. Was just wondering if there was an equivalent link that visitors can use that links to the tab content?

    Cheers,
    Iain

    Hi Brajesh,

Just another question on this – the above link only works for logged in members – is there a similar link that a guest user can use that directs to the tab output?

Also, with MediaPress, do you have a method to update the album cover image, or have the file location for it?

    Many thanks,
    Iain

    Hi Brajesh,

That’s amazing, thank you, I never knew that shortcut existed – really useful!

    Many thanks,

    Hi Brajesh,

Apologies for the late reply – been away on other projects.
Regarding this question of accessing the tab content, is it possible to create a dynamic link to tab content from somewhere else on that page? So for instance in the BuddyPress Home area, could there be a link that goes to the same location as the “Tributes” tab? My predicament is that I wish guests to be able to see tab content for that particular user, but as a guest, not having to use their login. Hope this makes sense? So if one of my User Profile Tabs is called “Tributes” is it possible to have a link to that content elsewhere?

    Kind regards,
    Iain

    Hi Ravi,

this is a link to the file with screenshots

Bit of a strange one, hope it’s something small I missed.

    Hi Ravi,

That’s a great help thanks! I got the fields to input in both the header area and members home.
It took me a while to figure out how to add a css class to them but I managed to do that with trial and error. I’m pretty new to php, so it was a good learning experience.

Thanks so much to you and Brajesh!

    Regards,
    Iain

Hi Brajesh, I’m using the BuddyPress Nouveau template, so a snippet to pick up an xprofile field and place it in the buddypress home and also the top header area would be amazing!

    Thanks,
    Iain
