Buddypress Auto-Follow from other registeration page

    Can you suggest a way to get around the issue?

    What about if a user goes to the members list

    Searches for his sponsor on the member list and then Hits the “follow” button

    A function By hitting this follow button also makes him become an affiliate ..under that sponsor

    This way he is joins the affiliates , under that sponsor and also automatically follows them.

    Or making a shortcode (to put on each users affiliate profile) – for an auto-suggest field where users can type in the name of their sponsors ..and then would not be able to change it again?

    Is this possible to achieve?

    Please boss , how do i get already logged-in buddypress users to auto-follow their referrers ?

    Hi Iken,
    I am sorry, what you are asking is synchronization of existing users which I did not offer. This will need specific tools and development based on how many users you have currently on your site.

    What you are asking now(I believed from your first screenshot that you wanted it on registration page, that’s why Ravi supplied that code) is going to take couple of hours and will be a significant amount of work.

    How many user’s do you have currently on your site?

    Is it possible to force affiliates to the buddypress members-list page to follow only 1 person ? Immediately after they become affiliates , and after following someone, direct them to their affiliate-account page (Only affiliates will see the follow button on the members list alone)

    this would be alot easier because, This way I can hide the short-code from non-affiliate users.

    Hi Iken,
    At BuddyDev support forums, we do not offer custom services. Your requirements are not related to our plugin.

    You are looking for custom integration with 3rd party plugins which we do not provide.I do hope to assist you partially with it in my free time but a full integration support is not feasible.
