[Resolved] Profile Privacy causing Theme crash WordPress 4.2.4

    Hello, I like this plugin as it add a lot of benefits to user, however with latest wordpress the themes crash as soon as buddypress is deactivated or the components are changed. Are you planning to update this plugin soon?

    Sorry, to clarify, when buddypress is deactivated, the Profile privacy plugin casues the theme to crash until it is deactivated. The themes then work well again.

    And yes, I do mean Profile Visibility Manager, not Profile Privacy. Thanks

    Hi Leigh,
    Welcome to the BuddyDev forums.

    Thank you for the bug report.

    That mean we need to update this plugin and use bp only hooks to avoid any such error in future. Will update today/tomorrow and message here too.

    Hi Leigh,
    How did you upload the new updates? Can you please tell me what you saw in your error log( or enable WP_DEBUG) and please post the error.

    I am running it on 4.2.4 and I don’t see any issue.

    PS: Did you delete the old plugin before uploading the new update?

    Downloaded a fresh copy of the plugin, seems to be okay this time 🙂 I noticed in the Git terminal that all the files were updated, which seems a bit weird for a small update, works now though. Thanks
