    Hi Ravi,

Thanks so much. I can’t believe I didn’t have the most up-to-date version of the plugin.
    That did the trick.

    😀

    Hi Brajesh,
    Thanks for the great plugins.
I’m working on this site: https://se-ch.com/
And in the sign up and on the editing page, I have condition profile fields setup, but get the same error, and they display regardless of my settings.
Conditional Profile Fields:There seems to be some html issue and I am not able to fix it, Please tell that to the developer: field_id:25
There are multiple field id’s but those correspond, I suppose to the fields that have conditions on them.
Thanks for nay help on this.
    Cheers,
    Allan

This looks like it might answer your question… at least you’re not the only one who would love to do this, and Brajesh is working on a plugin to help us.

    Hi Brajesh,

Thanks for your reply. I was taking a little vacation. But now I’m back and would be super excited to have the plugin, since it will make one site I’ve been working on pretty much complete.

Have you been able to release it yet?

Thanks again and hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi Brajesh,

Thanks! The ‘search_terms=Germany’, etc. seems work, so I’ll use that for now. Oh man, I can’t believe I overlooked that the “-” should be a “_”.

Will this search for Germany everywhere, or just profile fields?

    Thanks,
    Allan

    Hi Brajesh,

Thanks for the tip. Everything is working well.

I also utilized the shortcode which is really helpful for displaying members lists.

I’ll mark this as resolved and start another topic related to that.

    Thanks again for the support,
    Allan

    Hi Brajesh,

I just realized I had posted this her as well.

Thinking about the rules a little bit:
It seems like only Site Admins be able to define which groups are auto join on activation, and which profile field corresponds to which group.

And then Group Admins should be able to define which of their groups are available to suggest in the widget.
Site Admins should also be able to turn this function on and off.

I guess that could just be my personal preference. Is there something I didn’t take into consideration?

    Thanks,
    Allan

    Hi Brajesh,

I’m glad what I was saying made sense.
Perfect, now the Pending users are no longer counted until activated. Exactly what I was looking for.
And now they show up in their respective member-type lists upon activation.
But, the count does not get updated in the “All Members” list.
The count says “1”, but the list has three members in it.

Thanks again for your work on this!

The recommendation engine sounds promising. Is it going to have a lot more features than allowing other group signups upon registering?
Ideally, one could make users join certain “general” groups, and also join groups based on country, or some other x-profile field.

    Cheers,
    Allan

    Hi Brajesh,
I was wondering if anything has come of the functionality that Jay suggested? Where a user joins a group based on a different x-profile field besides the member type.
    Thanks so much,
    Allan

    Hi Brajesh,

Thanks so much for the update. (I noticed the reply notification a little late.)
It looks like the listings work now. Great!

As far as the immediate visibility thing:
When a user signs up, BuddyPress already has them in a list of Pending users on my setup. There is BuddPress’ user moderation going on: no extra plugins.
Checking every member in the list against pending members would seem to be very inefficient. And probably crazy on big set-ups.
Isn’t there something we can do with the BuddyPress pending users list? Maybe not add the user to the Member Type until activation, with this filter/action?:
    bp_core_activated_user

(Off the topic, but wouldn’t this filter allow for one to also add someone to a group, based on another x-profile field – i.e. Country? Perhaps a future addition, or worthy of a new plugin?)

    Thanks again,
