Hello Brajesh,
Thanks for your respond even on weekend.
(1) I am using BuddyPress. “fields mapped to WordPress field” – ?? I don’t know, what you mean? I edited all fields in the same way. Dashboard > Users > Profile fields > Add New field.
I noticed that every field has the option “Visibility” in the sidebar. Except the field biography.
(2) I am not sure we are thinking in the same direction respectively I understand your answer in the right way. As a Site Administrator I now already can reset the visibilty of a user. But the user itself cannot do it. He must contact the Site Administrator to get access to his own profile again.
Best wishes
Gisela Hello Brajesh,
Great Thanks to your keen support.Best wishes
GiselaHello Ravi,

I tried again – now it worked.
Hi Brajesh,
Thanks a lot – I could fix it.
What about the future – When I disable BP 12.0 – will the pages disappear again or will it be fixed in BuddyPress? What is with the next updates of BuddyPress?Best Wishes
GiselaHi Ravi,
Thanks -, due to your information I got an idea and I could solve the problem for me.It was a new user and he created his account with WooCommerce a month ago. On my WebSite all members have to create their account with WooCommerce because it is combined with an affiliate program and membership program.
The way I caused the error:
I was logged in as Admin – I opened the profile of the user > settings > profile privacy and had set all topics on “no” respectively “only me”. And he disappeared.
When I logged in with the user account – I didn’t find the profile in buddypress either. So I had no chance to change the setting. The solution:
As Admin I got access to the user via Dashboard > Users > Extended Profile > View Profile
And additionally logged in as the user I could open it via the WooCommerce-account link. I had activated the Buddycommerce plugin.Best wishes

Hi, thanks a lot for your help,
I’ve now hidden the public message button and the @username. That’s fine for me. - Gisela Zechner on January 9, 2024 at 11:09 am in reply to: [Resolved] Getting started / hide the @username #51316
I’ve found the following Code in an other forum post:
‘add_filter( ‘bp_get_send_public_message_button’, ‘__return_empty_array’ );’
it works well und has disabled the public Message button in the list.
Best wishes
Gisela Thanks – it also works very well for me!
