1. It is possible to show multiple profile field groups on BuddyPress Registration.
It will need a lot of change in theme(specially how the signup_profile_field_ids are managed).

Please do note that neither any theme or plugin(including member types pro) support conditional logic on registration for multiple profile field group.

They all assume the default config and will need modification.

There are 3 ways to handle the issue
1. Modify template and the specific plugins to show all groups on registration page
2. Or Put all fields on base profile field group and assign to specific member type(It will work with all plugins).
3. Or just keep the basic fields on registration and use our free plugin BuddyPress Profile Completion to force users complete other fields.

Let me know which option you will be going for.

Thank you for the questions.

1. Member Type associations are managed by BuddyPress, so no matter which plugin you use, the user to member type association will not be lost. All you need to do is keep the membertype slug same.

2. If there are too many member types, instead of creating by hand, you can use post type converter to convert their post type to Member Type Pro’s. If they are in the range of 10 or so, re-creating the entries may be a better idea. Which ever path you go, Please make sure to update each created member types entries with your need(groups/cover/redirect etc..).

I hope it works for you and you will have a more pleasant experience. If anything goes wrong, please share admin details and I can take care of that(I do not think that that will be needed though). Please do not delete their plugin(deactivate that but keep) until you feel that everything is working fine.

Here is what I think.
You need the text field(edit view) for the number and on the display context, you can link to the generated whatsapp url.

You may want to check our BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types plugin(code to see how we implement the field types) for the same.
