    Hi Carsten,
    About the pribvate image in MediaPress. It is not private in the real sense. If a user know the exact url of media file(http://yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/mediapress/xyz/abc.jpg), they can access it.

    We have mentioned it time and again that the private media is not private in real sense. Specifically if the file url is known. My suggestion is to avoid using it for sensitive information.

    For marking a private gallery accessible to certain user, You will need to buy our shared gallery plugin. Please allow me to release it in next 5-8 days. It needs a code review before going public.

    For the button and image, if you want to keep both, please contact your theme developer for the help.

    Hi Carsten,
    1. You can disable the media in user header from MediaPress Settings->Addons page

    2. We do have a plugin for message attachment but we decided to not release it for public. The reason is it is not possible to have private media files.

    I am sorry but the plugin can not help with it.

    This is due to the way BuddyPress template packs and most themes are coded. A content template is not loaded if the group is not visible and only group status is shown.

    If you want to achieve it, you will need to modify buddypress/groups/single/home.php in your theme(you can copy it to your child theme from current active theme or template pack).
    I will not recommend it unless you know php and can only exclude for certain pages.

    Hi Carsten,
    Is there any chance you have a lazy loading plugin installed for image or javascript? If yes, Please disable it and clear browser cache to test again.

    I have seen this happening with lazy loaded images most of the time. Please let me know if that is not the case?

    I am sorry but I don’t see any other reason. Can you please try the same on twentyseventeen theme or twenty nineteen theme? Are you using any code to filter results from WP_Query/get_posts() ?

    Thank you.

    I am glad it is working for now.

    We do have the option to link directly to files, the current issue is related to clicking on gallery cover. You may disable google viewer from MediaPress->settings->Themes page(there is a checkbox for the same).

    At the moment, we don’t have a way to differentiate which type of gallery cover click will open lightbox. I am adding it in our future updates plan.
