It is not a publicly released plugin. Has limited availability to people who have access to BuddyBlog pro.
You can find more details about it if you search of “Buddyblog Group” on the forum. We hope to announce it publicly sometimes soon.
The working is exactly same as BuddyBlog Pro for user.

I realized that we already have the ability to have ids in sub tabs. Please look for CSS id option in sub tab and put the ids there.
Then those ids can be used in javaScript for opening tabs.

you can put a call to bp_has_notifications() at the top of your code to create custom notifications.
