    By default, BuddyPress applies the class ‘current’ to the nav item.

    You can use the following select to apply styles

    

.button-nav li.current {
/**Put your styles here*/
}

    That should work for you.

    I guess I will fork on github and push an update there. it may not be desired behaviour for the olriginal plugin but we can maintain our fork.

    In that case, we don’t even need to update anything.

    here is a better way.

    Please use this plugin
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-switching/

    It allows you to switch as any user. It will not only help you with the above tasks, it might be useful for other moderation tasks too.

    Even i had disabled many plugins on your site and tested it. I see that the issue is happening. It is baffling for me to see it asap I enable BuddyBlog.

    I am going to check a few more things on your site today as it is not reproducible locally, hopefully, It might have something to do with the settings.

    These two selectors should work fine.

    I am sorry but I don’t see any reason for it. Are normal WordPress working fine?

    The server admin can disable the mod security for file uploads(I am not sure if it is a good idea for user uploaded files, please ask it to the server support).
