    Hi Simon,
My apology for missing your issue with the user selection in scope.

is there any chance you have restricted access to wp-admin? the code uses wp-admin/admin-ajax.php to serve suggestions and that should be whitelisted.

Do you have a public instance? If yes, Please provide me temporary access and I can check and assist you resolve it quickly.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Simon,
    Thank you for the reply.

In your use case, the best would be to use the dynamic tab.

    1. Please create a dynamic tab shortcode and copy it
    2. Please create a tab and put the shortcode there and then scope this tab to the specific users.

    3. Please add new tab contents from dynamic tab and set these users as author. Make sure to assign the posts the same category that you selected while creating the shortcode.

That would give you maximum flexibility with just 1 profile tab entry.

PS:- If you have a staging site, Please provide me temporary access and I can setup it for you.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Iain,
I will be assisting you instead of Ravi for now.
I had a look at your settings.
none of the issues are caused by our plugin. Your sub nav settings do not even force login to view.

Is there any chance the error is due to the shortcode you are using?(If tab is visible but the message is shown then it is coming from shortcode).

Please try disabling custom code or other plugins(other than BuddyPress) one by one to identify the cause and let us know.

    Thank you
    Brajesh

    Hi Luca,
    Thank you for the reply.

The issue is we are expecting a string in offset but it is probably not returning.

Is there any chance you have updated BuddyPress recently? If you did, updating member types pro will definitely fix it.

If you did not update BuddyPress recently, there is a chance upgrading may not fix the issue and we might have to look into more details.
From the error signature, It seems to happen due to updating BuddyPress but not updating member types pro.

PS:- I will be away for 5-6 hours now and will assist further based on your reply after that.

    Thank you
    Brajesh

    Hi Simon,
I am sorry if it is confusing.

    1. You do not need the dynamic content plugin as you can create tab for specific users.
My suggestion will be to use dynamic content when creating for all users of a role if limiting the tab to small number of specific users, tab scoping is better suited.

    – You can add the shortcode and it will work fine with scoping. It is just an extra step if you need that for only few users. In this case, you can simply put the content on the tab edit page itself.

It will be better if you can tell me your use case( Are you creating new tab/updating exiting ones, Is it limited to some users or will it apply to all users?). That will help me provide you with better assistance.

    Regards
    Brajesh

Brajesh Singh on in reply to: BuddyBlog Groups – a couple of suggestions… #49237

    Hi Nik,
    Thank you for the suggestions.

    1. We will add it back. It was disabled to favour security. In case of delegated control to group admins, we felt uncomfortable with this setting. We will probably make ti difficult to delegate or add a prominent notice to avoid unknowingly allowing group admins to redirect users.

    2. This could happen. We need to filter it from Group plugin as BuddyBlog is not aware when groups is active but groups is. I will add it in the core.

    Thank you
    Brajesh
