It is happening due to a change in BuddyPress and how they send activation link. Earlier, The activation link was sent ashttp://example.com/activate/?key=something but it has been changed to http://example.com/activate/somekeyname and that’s why.

Just wanted to give an update. we have decided to go full fledged on this and we have implemented a plugin that allows gallery admins to add any number of members they wish with view/upload/manage capability.It will be available in next 2 days.

Thank you.The modal will not work for this case. It will still use an iframe for embedding and that will not work(iframe inside iframe issue). It is part of w3c specifications.
