That will depend on the template pack you are using.
A simpler solution is to use css to hide it.

I am assuming you are referring to @ mention activities. No, there is no way to hide this. BuddyPress activity shortcode uses inbuilt BuddyPress featires, this ability is not available in BuddyPress.

Thank you for the question and sharing details.We do have plans for this sometimes this year. Our biggest problem is having no proper way available in BuddyPress/BuddyBoss to show the posts’s recording as part of group. They are normally tied to user’s activity stream. We have been able to hack around it in past but we are hoping to have a better solution with BuddyBlog pro.

Thank you for the question.you can see who created the post from Dashboard->Activity screen. If you want, we can add the option to show it to admins on front end too. Please let me know and we will add an option for the same.
