I am sorry, there are no direct ways to do it.you will most probably need a plugin that captures geo location for each user and then use distance search based on current’s user’s location.
I do not see a direct way available.
There are plugins for xprofile location, but they will not capture it automatically, A user will need to specify it.

Hi,
We have explicit support for that plugin in ajax registration. I don’t remember if we have it in branded login or not.I am glad it is working fine.
PS:- I too upgrade normally after a week of the major release of WordPress. That saves a lot of trouble.

The uploads are considered an activity over the gallery . We are recording addition of a media to gallery. That;s why it links to gallery(and the activity message appears below that gallery).If you comment over a media, It will link to single media.

PS:- About moving the template, The benefit lies in future updates. Any change in plugin will be lost but if you keep them in the template directory as override, they will be preserved.

Thank you for the clarification.MediaPress does not support showing gallery images if the comment is on the gallery and not the media.
