I am sorry, there are no direct ways to do it.
you will most probably need a plugin that captures geo location for each user and then use distance search based on current’s user’s location.
I do not see a direct way available.
There are plugins for xprofile location, but they will not capture it automatically, A user will need to specify it.

We have explicit support for that plugin in ajax registration. I don’t remember if we have it in branded login or not.
I am glad it is working fine.
PS:- I too upgrade normally after a week of the major release of WordPress. That saves a lot of trouble.

Hi John,
The uploads are considered an activity over the gallery . We are recording addition of a media to gallery. That;s why it links to gallery(and the activity message appears below that gallery).
If you comment over a media, It will link to single media.
