    Hi Jan,
Tank you and my best best wishes for you for the new year too 🙂

There is a new ticket going on BuddyPress trac
    https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/6795

That will make it easy to handle the activity stream integration of posts/post types.

In the mean time, I have been continuously enhancing blog categories plugin( changes are not available on Buddydev but is available on our git repository). I certainly look forward to add the activity stream capability soon too.

Does this mean it is worth testing again?
    thanx as always!

    Hi Jan,
Thank you. I too saw it today. Yes, I will be doing a test with the current trunk.

    Look forward to it!
Also, a thing I wanted you to consider if possible.
A setting that will allow a way to unify the current permalinkstructure with BCFG.
Not sure what the best way is here…
But possibly just put the excerpts in the group blog, and clicking them would take you to the standard permalink structure of your wp install. Does this make sense?

Now from the groupblog the link when click on a post is:
    http://www.example.com/groups/groupname/blog/postname
I think I would like it to be the permalink, like so:
    http://www.example.com/2016/02/08/postname/

Any chance of a though about this? Possibly an option?
    Think abut it?

    Thank you Jan.

We have the admin almost setup, so yes, it is pretty easy to give the permalink option. We already do it for BuddyBlog.

    Thanx Brajesh.

Will there be options to use our current template?

Also, is “BP Simple Front End Post” the way to post moving forward?
New posts via “BP Simple Front End Post” are now saved as drafts. Is that something you are working on too?

    Hi Jan,
Thank you for asking. It is going to mimic the controls we provide with BuddyBlog. In other words, as site admin you can choose if the posts will remain as draft or published and also who can post(members, admins, mods etc).

Yes, I am in favor of BP Simple Front end post as it is simple, lightweight and with recent changes have full visual editing capability.

    Sounds good.
So this will be in a new version you are pushing at some point in the near future?
I can’t see this functionality with the latest versions I have found. BCFG 1.2.2. BPSFE 1.2.7.
Are those current? Should I just shut and wait for new versions? 😉
