You can make any gallery to shared gallery using a Mediapress addon plugin named “MediaPress Global Shared Gallery”. When you activate this plugin there is an option to set gallery as shared in admin section. Please download the plugin form the following url

Thank you for posting here. I have tried to create this issue on my local server but it is working fine for me. I think there might be some other issue that is causing the problem.
Do some more test.
1. Disable all other plugin except “BuddyBlog and BP Simple Front End Post”.
2. Change to theme to some other theme or wordpress default theme there might be chances that theme can cause problem.Thank You
