    Hi Tosin,
I will be assisting you now.

I have tested the above code(from your last post) and here is what I found.

    1. The code works. It limits restricted users from sending message.

is your goal to restrict the button for certain users to receive the message? If yes, Please let me know.

    Regards

    Hi Fah,
I am sorry to hear that.
Did you apply the order parameter to “ASC” as by default it is not set to ASC? If yes, Please let me know and I will look into it.

    Thank you Thorsten.

I will certainly explore the possibilities of making these two work together. Since it will take some some time before I can look at this, that’s why my current suggestion. It is not final and I hope we can make it work together in future.

    Hi Hugo,
    Thank you for asking.

At the moment, we can create one entry(configuration) per unique slug(tab). So, yes, It is doable if you Modify courses for only group and do not plan to modify it for others.

Since we have implemented individual targeting for group tabs, in future, we will be allowing creating multiple entry per tab to customize it for different settings.

This will come in future(May be by the end of year or earlier as we don’t have any plan for this yet).

I hope that you are only planing to apply one configuration to the tab for now.

    Hi Hugo,
    Thank you for confirming.

About the page linking:- Since you are simply linking to a page, It will go away from the group.

There are 2 ways to implement it without moving away from the group.

    1. Put the actual content under the tab itself.
    2. Or use the Dynamic content plugin as shown here

    https://buddydev.com/docs/buddypress-group-tabs-creator-pro/creating-dynamic-content-with-buddypress-group-tabs-creator/

Hope that one of these strategies work for you.

    Hi Thorsten,
Thank you for testing and the details.

It seems tome that rtMedia is filtering activity query to implement the custom privacy they allow and it is causing the problem.

There is no issue with rtMedia’s normal use. The problem arises from activity privacy they implement.

I am sorry but I don’t think there is an easy option as the activity privacy is a non standard feature and not implemented in any standard way.

For now, My suggestion will be to avoid the Facebook Like Activity Stream.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Carsten,
I do understand the problem that you are facing. Still, BuddyPress is not aimed for specific use case. It is highly flexible and that flexibility comes with certain things that may not be suitable for all.

The good news is, You can still make it your way.

The purpose of having 2 names is to use one for using in the display name and one for identifying uniquely across the sites. Many sites have it(e.g Twitter). Some sites do not ask it on registration, but they all use it in some way and let you change in future.

I will post a blog post with solution for the cases when you don’t need the username and just want to work with the display name.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    You are welcome.

You are right about the changes.

For template changes, you can copy it to your theme.

For the plugin change(like publish), I am not sure if there is a filter that they have provided. For now, you may keep the change in plugin and ask them to provide a filter for status in future.
