Hi Justin,
I haven’t yest heard from you about my question:-Are you able to Use Video Categories with Post if you are creating a post from the Admin? Can you please post me a screen shot of the new post screen and show me if the taxonomy is available for your post post type.
If a functionality is not available in your Dashboard->Add New Post, we can’t have that in the front end bloggins. In other words, you will need to ask your theme developer to enable it for posts and then you can use it from the front end(Once it is available, you can select it from BuddyBlog settings screen).
Hope that clarifies.
Regards
Brajesh Hi Julien,
I am sorry but I don’t understand the problem. Why don’t create a member type field and let users choose that? That way you will have it automatically done for you.One suggestion, please do not use space in the name of the member type. It is fine in the labels but you should not use it in the name.

Thank you. I am glad I was able to help 🙂
Hi Justin,
There is no way to do it automatically. I suggest you either set member type on the account activation or you may us our plugin BuddyPress Xprofile Member Type Field to do that for you.https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-xprofile-member-type-field/
Hope that helps.
Hi Aaron,
Is there any chance that you are checking this while being logged in as site admin?- Brajesh Singh on December 12, 2016 at 12:57 pm in reply to: BuddyPress Profile Visibility Manager – Feature Request #6771
Hi Dave,
Thank you.
Can you please help me understand it a little more.1. Do you want to let users update their setting or you as site admin want to have the control only for yourself?
2. Do you want to apply the settings to everyone based on member type. Can you please provide me an example to help me understand. I will be very happy to add the feature.
Thank you

Hi Dave,
1. When prompted please select “leave this page”. If you are on WordPress 4.61 or below, It will set the blue theme. If you are on WordPress 4.7, they have introduced a concept of changeset and even reloading will only work if there is no “changeset” in the url. So, Please delete changeset from the url.
We have an update ready with this but we are adding a few more plugin compatibility, that’s why we haven’t released the update. We will release the update by 11th Dec now.
Please see more details here
