Thank you. It will be a pleasure 🙂1. Yes, that is the purpose of cdn.
2. Video Conversion is a resource intensive work. I recommend using 3rd party conversion services. There are some FFMPEG conversion plugin available on wp.org plugin repo. You can use any of them to convert the file types. MediaPress uses the MediaElement Player(used by WordPress too) to play video and that needs video to be h.264 format encoded.
3. At the moment, I am sorry but I won’t be able to provide any paid service as I am busy with BuddyDev and our upcoming themes/plugins.

yes, It will be adding remote urls( any type of url with/without oembed support). BuddyPress link was great work by Marshel, sadly abandoned now.We will have add link functionality in MediaPress too.

I am sorry but BuddyBlog can not handle posts for sub sites. It will be nly able to handle posts from the current site(on which BuddyPress is active). Making it work for subsites is too much work and I do not suggest doing that anyway.Sorry for this.
