I do not see nay other reason. Since you deactivate UM, It will have no effect.

Hi Carsten,
I am still not sure what is the issue. Is it the profile image not appearing correctly?Seems to me your theme is styling activity based on type and that could be causing it.
The plugin simply appends extra markup to your activity.

Please upgrade to 1.5.2I am assuming you are not using WordPress multisite.
Please visit Dashboard->Settings->BuddyPress Auto Activate Auto Login
You will find a tab “Miscellaneous”. Please enable the email notifications there. This option is only available on non multisite WordPress.Regards

I am sorry for the inconvenience.can you please provide me the following details:-
1. are you using BuddyPress or BuddyBoss
2. are you using any major plugin that have effect on friends/follow
3. Are there any page caching/database caching plugin enabled?The Friend suggestions clears the suggestions cache as soon as a user is followed/added as friend.
Please let me know the above and we can quickly look into the issue.
