    I sincerely appreciate all of you for helping me find and fix the issue.
    I am thankful to all of you and our community for bearing with us during this inconvenient experience.

    It should not happen in future and even if someone tries to spam us in future, their efforts will be not much fruitful.

    Thank you. Both of you. My initial estimate from the spammer’s profile was incorrect. I went through the activity list and I can see that they spammed around 600 posts today.

    I am very sorry. Going to add own own activity rate limiter this weekend to avoid such incident in future.

    Hi Daniel,
    Please visit Dashboard->Users->Profile Field s and edit the member type profile field. Try disabling Autolink and let me know if that works or not?

    Hi Eddy,
    My apologies for the inconvenience to you and others.

    We were not hacked.
    A user registered and started spamming our activity stream. We noticed it but by then, they had sent spam to around 15 users.

    We marked the user as spam, so all their activity was removed. That’s why you are seeing 404.

    Thank you for the question.

    It is not doable out of the box or in simple ways.

    There is a workaround to filter activity based on user id from a specific member type. The method is not efficient and will become a bottleneck for even moderately active site.

    Here is how to achieve that
    Filter on activity query
    fetch all user ids belonging to the specific member type.
    Limit query to users belonging to these list.

    That seems the only way to achieve it.

    Thank you for purchasing the plugin from us.

    I am sorry for your bad experience with PayPal.

    We are based in India and other than PayPal we have very limited choice for international payment currently. We are hoping that stripe becomes available soon here. That will help provide more choices. For time time being we are stuck with PayPal.
