I’m trying to use this again, now with BuddyPress Auto Friendship Pro 1.0.7 with BuddyBoss. Yes I have Memberpress 1.9.27 and Memberpress+Buddypress Integration 1.1.11 installed too. However I am using the BuddyBoss regular registration, not the Memberpress registration.

I still cannot get Auto Follow running with BuddyBoss. I have not tried auto friendship yet.

Were you able to fix this problem in your post last April?

Yes! That seems to have fixed it. Will continue to test but the consolidated stream is working. Note I just updated to the just-released BuddyBoss Platform and Theme and things are working. Thank you!

Any feedback on this problem yet? It’s been 3 weeks. Thoughts?

    hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. I have only one condition right now. “Role equal to Author with “Add as Following” . I want new Author registrants to be set up upon registration to be following a short list of existing members.

Right now I am using the Memberpress registration, not BuddyBoss registration. Maybe that is the problem?

One more thing. I’m confused by the language Add as Followers and Add as Following. I think I have it right here where I set it for Add As Following. Is that correct? Does that mean “add the newly registered user as following this list of existing members”?

Then would Add As Followers mean “add this newly registered user and set this list of existing users as followers of that new user”?

    Paul

Great, thanks. In my case, I’m getting the 404 even though I am logged in and in my own profile.

    Hi Brajesh,

    – I’m on BuddyPress 3.1.0, WordPress 4.9.7
    – I’m not using any BP template packs
    – I am using the BuddyApp theme from Seventh Queen.

Note that site.com/members/user/activity/my-stream-activity/ is showing 404 error.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I understand what you’re saying that you are changing the post status for the group after submission for the Front End, but not on imports .

I’m wondering why not do this for the imported posts? It seems confusing for the user to have blog updates that are not in the activity stream. I think users expect that when monitoring an activity stream it’s going to have all the activity.

Is there a reason for not including imported blogs that I am missing? I don’t want to add this but cause another problem but I can’t think of anything.

I looked at the php link. I’m not enough of a coder to make this enhancements myself. I’ll need to hire someone.
    Thanks

    HI,
Any word on #2 feature above? BCfG is wroking nicely with Simple front End Post for me. However it is confusing for users to not have the BCfG posts not show up in the activity stream. I would like the blog posts created by BCfG show in both the Group Blog and Activity stream so that Group members will see the new BCfG blogs through the normal stream.

I notice that the Simple Front End Post does as expected post to both the blog and activity page. However when fed by BCfG, the simple front end does not seem to behave the same and post also to Activity.

It seems like the current plugin is close but needs this seemingly small enhancement. Is there a code snippet that does this?
    Thanks!
