For oembed, we use WordPress’s core infra. ~~It does not support Facebook.~~
Sorry, I am correcting my previous answer by editing here.
It seems WordPress does support oembed from Facebook. Can you please provide me a link and I can check.

Hi Hugo,
I have tested it for groups now and It is working.
Here is how a link needs to be added.
1. Enter the link and click “Add” button. Once you do it, there will be a video preview generated and shown below the activity post form. Once you have done it, you can add any content(or not, it is your choice) and click the post button.

Sure, you can use it.
I personally prefer simple, lightweight interfaces and that’s why I had a different suggestions. They all work properly no matter which one you select. So, go with the one you feel comfortable.

Hi Hugo,
It seems to me the reason is you have sitewide gallery archive enabled which only lists sitewide galleries.
For testing, Please visit Dashboard->MediaPress->settings->Sitewide and disable archive.
Now, you will have only the BuddyPress Gallery directory. Please visit gallery directory(/gallery by default) and let me know what it shows. Only public/logged in galleries will be listed there.
