Hi Kerem,
You are welcome.I will suggest asking the sysadmin or getting support from some sysadmin in installing(prefer docker for elastic search instance).
The process of using elastic search is a bit more involved and my suggestion will be to hire someone(may be a sysadmin on upwork?) to do it for you.

Brajesh Hi Irene,
Are you using any custom login or any other plugin/code that redirects user? Are you using a custom theme that supports redirection after login?
I have tested the above setting and it is working for me. I am assuming there is some kind of conflict and we need to find it.

Hi Thorsten,
You are correct about the update. That’s why I linked to github too(which is updated regularly).
To Be honest, both the wporg version as well as the github version Works with current BuddyPress/WordPress. The wporg version lacks some features and may not be compatible with the Nouveau template pack.

I haven’t been able to install the plugin yet. Sorry about that. I will be installing the membership plugin and testing the code. Please wait a little more for this(Sunday evening).

Hi Thorsten,
Thank you for using the plugin. The option is for compatibility with BuddyPress follow plugin
https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-followers/
https://github.com/r-a-y/buddypress-followersIf you have this plugin enabled, you can enable/disable option for users to let them select if they want others to follow them or not.

Brajesh Thank you for linking to the plugin and marking it resolved.

BrajeshHi Kerem,
Thank you for posting. The solution you are looking for is fuzzy search. It is not supported by the underlying database(mysql).
If you want this type of functionality, I will suggest using Elastic search, indexing the groups and searching from there.

Hi Irene,
Thank you for posting.is there any chance that you are using the PMpro BuddyPress Addon? That addon chnages user’s member type.
If yes, Can you please disable that temporary and then change level and let me know if it affects the member type?
If no, Can you please tell me if changing membership level changes the WordPress role in any way?
Thank you
Brajesh
