    Thank you for the suggestions.

    1. We will add it back. It was disabled to favour security. In case of delegated control to group admins, we felt uncomfortable with this setting. We will probably make ti difficult to delegate or add a prominent notice to avoid unknowingly allowing group admins to redirect users.

    2. This could happen. We need to filter it from Group plugin as BuddyBlog is not aware when groups is active but groups is. I will add it in the core.

    please link me to a screenshot or video showing all the settings for your Profile Tab(from the Dashboard->Users->profile Tabs->edit page).

    That will help me understand the issue and assist you.

    What are the issues you are facing with getting BuddyBlog Groups to work.

    Can you please create new topic(or point me to already create topic if done earlier) and post your requirement for group blog posting.

    I am sorry for the inconvenience.
    It seems you are using an older version of the plugin which could be the cause(may be database change or php version change).

    Please let me know if you are using the latest and I will look further into it.

    Please upgrade to RC8.
    I have added following filters in 1.0.0-RC8

    
bblgroups_pre_handle_post_submission_author_notification
bblgroups_pre_handle_post_submission_admin_notification
bblgroups_pre_handle_post_submission_group_admin_notification

bblgroups_pre_handle_post_approval_author_notification
bblgroups_pre_handle_post_rejection_author_notification

    All of these have same signature

    
apply_filters( 'bblgroups_pre_handle_post_submission_author_notification', null, $post, $form_id, $group_id )

    If you return first parameter as true, the notification will be stopped.

    Here is the current behaviour:-

    If a tab is scoped to some of the user(users are specified in the scope):-
    – If “None” is selected in roles
    – If it is an existing tab, the tab will be removed for associated users
    – If tab is new, it won’t be added for anyone

    – If any other role is selected in enabled for
    – If it is an existing tab, It will only be updated for associated users
    – If it is a new tab, It will only be added for associated users

    In other words, If there are associated users and a role other than “None” is selected, the role has no effect on the availability of the tab.

    Thank you for the details.
    I don’t see the settings in the screenshot(for profile tabs) but I can see the reason.

    Please visit Dashboard->Users->Profile Tabs and edit the tab you have created. On the edit page, Please look for “Set it as default component?” and make sue it is not checked.

    Once you do that, the default preference from your theme settings will work.

    My guess is somehow the settings are affecting your default landing tab and causing issue.
