The General panel contains nonstructural global options. It is divided into five logical sections.

General Panel sections:-

1. Site Identity:-  Logo, title, etc.
2. Static Front Page:- Default WordPress Front Page setting
3.  Social Profiles:- Social links to show in site header/footer
4. Email:– Options to show contact email
5. RSS:- Options hide/redirect RSS Links

Site Identity

This section contains the default WordPress settings like changing the Site title, tagline, Logo, Site icon. For styling these, please see the Styling->Site Title section.

Use it to add your logo or change your site title.

Static Front Page:-

This section contains the default WordPress controls for changing the site front page.

You can select what should be displayed on your site home page here.

Social Profiles:-

This allows you to add links to your social pages on the following networks:-

1. Facebook
2. Twitter
3. Google Plus
4. LinkedIn
5. Instagram
6. Flickr
7. YouTube
8. Vimeo
9. Pinterest

All the links are optional.

You can show these links in header or footer(Options in relevant section) when needed.

Email:-

Email is just another displayed data which is displayed alongside the social links in the header/footer.

RSS:-

This section allows you to show/hide RSS link icon alongside the social links. You can also specify a custom RSS URL. In that case, your site’s post feed will be redirected to that URL. You can use it to add feed burner or other feed URL.
