Thank you for using BuddyBlog.
The default WYSIWYG is actually TinyMCE. You are already using it. It is the default behaviour of the TinyMCE or most visual editors to copy the structure.
I am not sure of any solution. If you want to change the editor or use the plain text one, You can do that by overriding the form in Simple Front End Editor.

It is most probably to do with something modifying your “bp_activity_entry_content”
Please open a new topic and let me know the following.
1. Are you using a custom theme?
2. Are you using other gallery plugins with MediaPress?
3. Please share the MediaPress gallery debug info in a private reply.
