Hi Max,
Thank you for the post.Since BuddyPress does not use graph database, building upon the connection level is not a suitable choice(specially going beyond second level) for efficiency reason.
I am working on a quota plugin which might allow you to partially achieve quotas based on roles.
If you need it based on level, Please feel free to use our custom development services.
Thank you

Hi Joss,
Yes, that is what expected out of the box. Level x triggers member type Y and Member type Y triggers Level X is not very safe option.Still, with our update, It won’t process multiple changes.
Please upgrade to 1.2.9 and let me know if it allows you changing level or not?
Thank you

Hi Joss,
I haven’t looked at your site but I looked at the PMPro’s BuddyPress plugin and I do see the issue. You are using our plugin to assign PMPro levels.
Since you are also using PMPro to change member type, that member type triggers another cycle of membership level assignment.
That’s why you are seeing this.
It will be much better if you can avoid the cycle. I am also putting a flag on membership level change from PMpro and hoping that we can use that to void triggering membership level change from our side. Any future change in PMPro BuddyPress addon may break it.
I will update once I push the release.

Hi Max,
It may not apply in your case as you have probably only one Profile field group. The general case when there are multiple profile field groups, the user only needs to fill required from firs group on registration. So this helps with getting other filled as well as asking for profile photo/cover. I mentioned this plugin as I had replied in on of the posts on this topic about using same(when I had no plan for moderation field).

Hi Artyom,
Thank you for the questions.1. Since Blog Categories records activity, I will suggest using a plugin like BP Group Email subscription for this.
2. You cann add a dynamic link(or use BuddyPress nav option in Appearance->Menu and add link. After that, you may use some specific css classes(and target ::before/after pseudo element) to show icon.

Hi Propertytips,
Thank you.
We store two meta keys for each post
1. _bcg_group_id where we store the associated group id.
2. _is_bcg_post it is used for backward compatibility. Even though we can do without it, It is there for backward compatibility. We were not storing group ids earlier. These 2 meta should be present for the posts.

Brajesh Hi Ben,
Welcome back.To shorten the permalink, you will need to modify the slug for the uploaded files. We have done it in past for title and filename.
I or Ravi will pack it as a small plugin and make available in next 3-4 days.
Thank you
