Please make sure the moderation settings for activity/user is configured to block posting.Also, if that is already, Please let me know about your theme, template pack and details about any other major plugin you are using that might affect.

It seems something is preventing the javascript event handler from working(or probably not returning the correct result)1. Please try opening browser console( In chrome, Ctrl+Shift+I) ), then click on the “Network” panel
2. try clicking the link and see if a new request shows up? If yes, Please check the result of that request and share your finding.Regards

Probably some kind of caching issue with activity not refreshing.Try disabling cache and test again.

Hi,
Your first file worked fine for me. I was able to upload as well as play it in the activity stream.I was not able to download second file as It has access restrictions but I guess that is not even needed.
My suggestion is to enable WP_DEBUG an try uploading and sharing the debug log. something on your server could be causing it.
