    Yes, that makes sense.

    The better message plugin does not seem to use core BuddyPress completion function. It seems they have their own implementation. My last update fixes it for BuddyPress messages compose screen.

    We can check the compatibility with Better Message plugin but it will take some time(I will ask one my colleagues to check in the day and provide a time estimate).

    The only possible reason for 404 is the tab configuration is incorrect(most probably set as default component with inaccessible tabs).

    Please open a new topic and share the site and credentials(please use private reply on the topic to share the credentials).

    could be an issue with mail delivery. Please try installing a plugin such as mail log to see if it goes or not?
