I see your point. I am not sure of the UI as you are replacing gallery page with Media loop.Do you have only one gallery per user? There might be a solution if that’s the case.

Thank you for the details.That’s the correct strategy to achieve it. I am glad you found a way and resolved the issue. The requirements were not very clear for us(I was not sure about the group to type association).

Thank you for the question.BuddyPress does not provide any way to achieve it. It is possible to do that by hacking around some code.
Which theme and template pack are you using? Please let me know and I will share the code.

For the user registration, Please feel free to use any WordPress plugin. all of them would work.
